Our Guest Designer & Color Challenge News!

Hello!

Today is Francine's turn to share a project that she created using Graphic 45's Le Cirque and Curtain Call!  I love her project, it is truly a feast for your eyes!  The pictures don't do it justice so you should go into Page's to see it in person!

Francine created a diorama, which she loved in childhood.  I was amazed at all the hand cutting and different elements that she used.  You'll see everything from a tight rope walker to an elephant and a lion and a wooden plaque.  Take a look!

Here's the full view of the diorama.  Now let's take a few looks close up!

Here's our tight-rope walker!

And our broom loving little clown witch!  And of course, what circus is complete without a little horse?

Here's a little clown with real pom-poms and our little elephant on his stand.

Here's the top view of the diorama, there's chipboard letters that spell our "Big Top" along with a painted "Laugh"  wooden plaque and a leopard.  The entire box is covered with different pieces of paper from the 2 paper lines.  Francine Modge Podged everything!

Here's our laser cut wooden lion face, stained with Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

And our last look at the little elephant.  I love that Francine used a tag with the elephant riding a bike glued to the stand. 

Didn't you just love it?  I promise, if you go into the store to see the display you'll want to look at it for hours - it really has some great embellishments if you enjoy altered art!

Our First Color Challenge...for you!

Hello! 

Remember the new and exciting news that we were teasing you about?  Well, here it is!  We decided to give the Pages DT a monthly challenge, where they'd have to incorporate something specific into a project... and we decided to give our readers the same challenge! Who knows, you might have your project featured on our blog! 

Our first challenge was a color challenge inspired by Page's From the Heart new color scheme in their new location... yellow, grey and kraft!

You can create any project, a layout, card, 3-D project... it's totally up to you!  You can use patterned paper, solid paper, embellishments... it's your interpretation!  You can add white and black into your color scheme as well.  Once you're created your projects using these colors, please email them to me at ayokleyjessup@gmail.com.

Here's what the Pages DT created with this challenge.

Christina created this great page layout using Kaiser Craft paper and a ribbon flower that she made herself!

Isn't it adorable?  You can create this same flower by using wired ribbon and going back and forth in loops, she used glue dots to hold the different loops together.

Here's another layout from Michelle, it's a feast for your eyes, I promise that you'll see more and more details every time you look!

I love how the flowers that she created double as frames around the pictures, I also love how she used the Twinery Bakers Twine to embellish the flowers (you can find the Twinery Bakers Twine at Pages).

And here's my project.  I created a card with this color scheme.  I love the simple card layout, you can change the colors, theme, stamps to fit any event!
